Amdocs will continue to manage Sprint business functions including billing, customer and IT infrastructure management as part of a managed services model hosted at an Amdocs data centre.
The agreement also now includes the support of the Virgin Mobile USA and Assurance Wireless brands, on top of the Sprint and Boost Mobile brands already supported.
"In working with us to ensure we provide our customers with the best customer experience, Amdocs has played an integral role in our success, which we look forward to continuing," said Peter Campbell, SVP of information technology at Sprint.
Amdocs claims that its billing and customer care platforms have enabled Sprint to become the number one US company in customer satisfaction and most improved, across 47 industries over the last four years, in the 2012 American Customer Satisfaction Index.
"Sprint's decision to expand our long-term agreement reflects the value that Amdocs managed services and our CES product portfolio can bring to service providers, both in terms of cost savings and in the ability to more quickly roll out new services," said Brian Shepherd, group president at Amdocs.
"We see a continued trend of service providers like Sprint to outsource key elements of their business and operational support systems so they can stay ahead of competition by focussing on service innovations and best-in-class customer experience."
