The solution will be deployed in Cell C’s network by the first half of next year, and as part of the agreement, CommProve will deploy its real-time data acquisition and mediation platform on the network, as well as its software acquisition suite.
Cell C is based in South Africa, and CommProve outlined the importance for it to expand into the emerging market.
“Africa is a very important market for us and we’re excited to be announcing the win with Cell C and expanding our footprint further in the region,” said Lars Pedersen, CEO of CommProve. “Ensuring a fast response to subscriber network issues in today’s mobile world is critical, especially as subscribers demand more and more from the network and we’re looking forward to working with Cell C to achieve this.”
According to CommProve, the development allows Cell C to troubleshoot specific areas across both the radio access and the core layer of its network, which presently provides 2G and 3G access.
“As we look to expand our network we need a view, independent from our vendors of what is happening in our network to ensure the right level of customer experience,” said Joe Brittz, CTO at Cell C. “We selected CommProve for this as a result of their advanced solution and the professionalism of their team.”
