Tata Communications has appointed Rangu Salgame as CEO of growth ventures.
He joins the company’s Global Management Council and will lead its global high growth businesses including its data centre, cloud, cyber security, media and entertainment arms.
Salgame has operating experience in over 30 countries and has held positions at Cisco Systems, Verizon Communications and PwC.
At Cisco he is credited with executing a strategy that transformed the company’s business in India and other emerging markets, and at Verizon is claimed to have led the founding and growth of the company’s internet and data business in enterprise communications.
