Evolink focusses on delivering a wide range of telecoms services, and also has presence within internet exchange points in the Netherlands and Germany. The two points are seen as essential for traffic exchange between eastern and western Europe.
The company’s connection to the France-IX platform is a further way for Evolink to enhance innovative solutions, according to the company’s business development manager Svetoslav Hristov. He said: “We believe that France-IX would be a valuable addition in terms of improving our traffic performance further.”
Franck Simon, managing director at France IX, said the connection from eastern Europe is further indication of the company’s position as an international internet exchange point.
“Connecting a member from outside our natural circle of influence, which consists of western Europe, Africa and the Middle East, represents a huge achievement for us.”
