Vodafone selected for M2M services in Denmark

Vodafone has been selected by Globe Tracker International (GTI) to supply the Danish managed service provider with M2M communications services.

UK-based Vodafone will provide wireless connectivity to enable GTI to deliver end-to-end global supply chain visibility through its Global SIM services.

“M2M communications are transforming global trade by enabling companies to track their products end-to-end and increase productivity,” said Erik Brenneis, director of M2M at Vodafone.

“We are pleased to be working with Globe Tracker to help customers manage their assets effectively.”

Vodafone’s M2M platform is designed to allow GTI to manage its M2M deployments efficiently and cost-effectively, and the company hopes the partnership will allow it to deliver functional and reliable global tracking, monitoring and trade data sharing.

“The support of Vodafone’s Global SIM services enhances our ability to offer ocean carriers, freight forwarders and SOCs our groundbreaking Smart Autonomous Asset Solution and its unmatched capabilities of tracking transportation assets globally,” said Jim Davis, CEO and founder of GTI.

Vodafone's subsidiary in the Netherlands recently partnered with software provider OpenCloud for the launch of LTE services in the country.
