The move is said to support Mobius’s secure connected devices in the retail and hospitality trade, and Three will also back up fixed-line data connections during outages.
Three Wholesale is targeting customer growth in the M2M space having launched its M2M platform during the tail end of 2012. The operator’s UK network is said to carry 42% of the county’s mobile data traffic and is also leveraged by over 30 MVNOs customers.
“The M2M market is going ultrafast. Businesses are seeking longevity in their connectivity solutions, speeds that often exceed local fixed-lines and tariffs that support large data consumption. The Three network is available to the M2M market through carefully selected wholesale partnerships,” said Lynda Burton, director of Three Wholesale.
