Godfrey Kisekka, CTO at Orange Uganda, told reporters that this service will be the fastest internet in the country, with users being supported for both voice and data services.
The LTE network reportedly covers major towns around the country, and the cost of the service will be announced shortly.
“With Uganda being a landlocked country, Kenyan’s [high] charges have an effect on the final cost of the internet,” Kisekka said.
Earlier this year, Orange launched mobile money transfer services in Africa.
