Level 3 said it was looking to support Hexcel’s continued global expansion by providing additional capacity and reach to an expanding international team.
Ethernet IP VPN services will replace existing legacy frame relay switched connections and drive cost efficiencies through extra capacity.
Level 3’s global end-to-end IP network will also provide Hexcel with streamlined vendor management and procurement processes, in addition to increased security by providing enhanced control of data.
"The innovative global projects that Hexcel Corporation is involved in rely on network services for fast and secure manufacturing across multiple sites and geographies," said Tim Passingham, Level 3's senior VP of EMEA Enterprise Business.
"Our global network and associated services are designed for fast-growing companies like Hexcel Corporation that want to ensure a collaborative working environment, as well as scalable and secure growth worldwide," he added.
As part of the agreement, Hexcel has selected Level 3’s European data centre in Hayes, UK for collocation services. This will provide redundancy facilities and allows for mission-critical services to remain online in the event of any outages.
