MBC is expanding the reach of its open-access transport network with new PoP locations at the CoreSite data centre in Washington DC and the QTS data centre in Richmond.
The expanded PoP locations will enable MBC to provide transport services to its carrier customers and enable additional connectivity options.
MBC is extending its Infinera DTN network into the interconnection facilities, with MBC’s network enabling a rapid provisioning for high-bandwidth transport services.
This provides low-latency transport connections to southern Virginia and MBC interconnection facilities into Carolina and Georgia.
“Our goal of providing a robust, open-access wholesale transport network for carriers continues to pay dividends for our region,” said Tad Deriso, president and CEO of MBC.
“Creating more on-net connections between carrier-neutral data centres in major markets and our southern Virginia region supports our mission of enhancing our regional competitive advantage with communications infrastructure.”
MBC offers 32 on-net locations for interconnection and confirmed plans to enhance its regional network.
