Cloud-IX is designed to enable users to carry out both private and public cloud deployments through its direct connectivity with leading cloud and IT service providers, such as Amazon Web Services, CSC and Fujitsu.
Michael Tobin, CEO at TelecityGroup, believes that enterprises across the continent are turning to the cloud to enhance their performance, and said that Cloud-IX will act as a flexible solution.
“Cloud-IX... enables the best of both worlds, combining premium carrier-neutral data centres to house existing mission-critical infrastructure with access to the key global cloud platforms,” he said.
“By delivering our Cloud-IX proposition, and enabling an unparalleled opportunity to consume public and private cloud services, we are ensuring that customers can utilise the richness of cloud-service operators across our data centres to build and strengthen their underlying platforms for business growth.”
The platform will be rolled out to TelecityGroup customers in all of its facilities across Europe and its launch forms part of the company’s commitment to supporting the cloud across the region.
In August this year, Hibernia Networks launched two PoPs in TelecityGroup’s data centres in London and Frankfurt.
