The subsidiary, which is based in the Netherlands, will reportedly remain as a separate subsidiary to sit alongside CanalDigitaal.
It serves approximately 270,000 customers and offers consumers triple-play packages with fixed-line, broadband access and IPTV.
CanalDigitaal used to serve as a reseller for the broadband product, but cancelled the agreement to become a reseller for KPN’s rival product, TRelfort triple-play services.
According to local reports, CanalDigitaal will continue to work with KPN wholesale and brand the service for fixed-line services, while the merger is completed and developed.
“The purchase of Euronet enables us to strengthen our fixed-line and telephony business in the Netherlands,” said Roderik Schlosser at CanalDigitaal.
“As a new business unit, Euronet will also strengthen the offer of Canal Digital.”
T-Mobile has reportedly set out a strategy to focus solely on mobile, and mobile internet in the market.
“Our strategy is to be the leader in mobile internet,” said Thomas Berlemann, managing director at T-Mobile Netherlands.
“The sale of Euronet ensures that we can focus even more to achieve this goal. With the sale, the future of Euronet is also guaranteed.”
The deal will close in 2014, but is subject to Dutch telecoms and consumer authority ACM.
