Colt began to carry voice traffic for Sky in May 2013, and is now responsible for the delivery of millions of minutes per month.
The carrier is also able to deliver extensive UK and European network coverage, and has the expertise to manage interconnections to deliver cost effect termination.
”Colt are easy to work with and flexible in their approach,” said Joe Moore, head of carrier relations, at Sky. “Working together, we’ve been able to establish a robust network interconnect, enabling us to improve the efficiency of our network economics without any compromise on quality. “
As a further result of the deal, Sky is able to interconnect at multiple locations, allowing the company to offer resilient services to its customers.
Colt said it had made a significant investment in developing network infrastructure to carry and facilitate the termination of global voice traffic, which is carried across its private IP network.
”I am delighted to be working with Sky and our relationship with them demonstrates the strength of our network capability and our global reach,” said François Eloy, EVP, Colt Communication Services. “We take pride in making sure that we are delivering an outstanding service for our customers.”
