IX Reach, which provides global network and remote peering services, said the addition of new equipment will allow customers on LINX to benefit from faster provisioning and near-instantaneous upgrades over the IX network.
“Our network is constantly growing. Using the most up-to-date hardware and technology ensures we can deliver unwavering connectivity, in an industry where both short lead times and the highest uptime possible are key,” said Rob Parker, head of network architect at IX Reach.
IX Reach offers its connectivity services across over 90 PoPs, in 35 key cities around the world. The company also offers extensive Metro Ethernet and DWDM across London, providing access to LINX from a range of data centres.
“The number of members IX Reach has connected to LINX has grown steadily since 2009, when they first started connecting members via the LINX from Anywhere programme,” said Ben Hedges, head of marketing and business development at LINX.
“Since becoming the first official LINX ConneXions reseller in 2012, IX Reach has been one of our best-performing resellers, making it no surprise that they’ll now become our first reseller to upgrade and take a 100G reseller port,” he added.
