Verizon acquired digital media streaming company UpLynk in November this year, and sources expect the combination of UpLynk and EdgeCast to enable Verizon to deliver a more end-to-end offering for streaming video services.
In September this year, EdgeCast partnered with Taiwan-based HiNet to provide web services in the country, and in November, the company received the award for best CDN provider at Capacity’s Global Carrier Awards for the second year in a row.
