The French vendor has launched the OpenTouch Office Cloud (OTOC) solution, designed to enable SMB customers to seamlessly shift their CPU to the cloud.
“The ability to help businesses adopt cloud-based services is the focus of our OpenTouch Cloud suite,” said Eric Penisson, GM of the enterprise communications business division at Alcatel-Lucent.
OTOC utilises Alcatel-Lucent’s OmniPCX Office technology, used by more than 17 million customers across the globe, and is expected to significantly improve employee productivity.
Alcatel-Lucent has partnered with Avita in Ireland and Synelvans in France for the initial launch of the solution in those countries, and additional partners are due to be announced in countries across the Asia-Pacific and central northern Europe.
“OpenTouch Office Cloud gives employees the collaborative experience they want, and has been extremely well received by our channel partners, who recognise the value our cloud-based services bring to their existing and potential customers,” Penisson added.
Earlier this year, Alcatel-Lucent was in talks over potentially divesting its enterprise unit, thought to be part of its debt-reduction strategy.
