The 43km route will link Staples Corner in north west London to the City and Docklands.
The move is expected to lower latency and provide additional connectivity to London Co-location Data Centres’ LDeX1, as well as provide customers with onward connectivity to Slough, Manchester and other parts of the UK.
During 2013, Geo added over 60km of fibre across the UK, connecting seven data centres.
“This year we are continuing to execute an aggressive network expansion programme to meet the growing needs of our existing customers and to strengthen our proposition to new clients,” said Chris Smedley, CEO, Geo.
The expansion builds on Geo’s footprint in London, which includes a metro network that runs through the Victorian sewers and an express route connecting the City of London and Docklands Telehouses.
