NTT will deploy its IP PoP at LuxConnect’s DC2 Tier-IV facility, located in Bissen, Luxembourg.
“The new PoP in Luxembourg fits our strategy to take NTT Com’s network into the most exciting internet growth markets,” said Simon Waller, head of global IP network sales at NTT Europe.
The company chose Luxembourg for its strategic position in the middle of a consumer market of approximately 500 million people. The country’s location enables low-latency access to the most important European peering locations of Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris, and London.
“Luxembourg has started to attract the internet’s largest and fastest-growing content companies and their requirements for high-capacity, high-quality IP transit make it a very exciting market for us,” Waller added.
Earlier this month NTT announced the launch of US and European platforms for its cloud-based enterprise communications service, Arcstar UCaaS.
