The programme saw the company upgrade approximately 7,500 cell sites to 3G, which is expected to resolve most quality-related service problems.
The new network consumes 25% less energy than its predecessor, which helps reduce operational expenses and address energy supply issues, Gyorgy Koller, CTO of Telenor Pakistan reportedly told local newspaper Pro Pakistani.
The operator plans to expand the network, which still requires minor upgrade work at a core level to make it 4G-ready.
