The partnership will supply 6DG with further choice in building their business architecture and enhance its cloud hosting capabilities, managed data services, data centre, connectivity and voice services.
Volta claims its Great Sutton Street data centre is the first carrier-neutral data centre location in central London in a decade, and is designed to cater to latency-sensitive customers in the financial services industry, Technology City and the media industry.
6DG operates as a core network of data centre locations and virtualised servers, and acts as a network operator in the space.
The company’s group strategy and marketing director, Campbell Williams said: “Our unique infrastructure will enable Volta to offer the capacity, bandwidth resilience and reach of the 6DG network to its customers – and will be a welcome addition to our PoP network in London.”
Matthew Dent, CEO of Volta, said the partnership represents the growing benefits of a more digital world.
“Our partnership improves both the physical and cloud-based infrastructure for doing business in central London,” he said.
