Building on the deployment of 100G from London to Paris last year, the pan-European network provider is now also operating 100G services between Paris and Amsterdam, and London to Amsterdam via Brussels.
The move is designed to support the increasing demand for high bandwidth from businesses, and is said to quadruple the operator’s capacity.
“We will continue our investment programme across the markets that we operate in and this increased network capacity will enable us to further develop our range of flexible solutions,” said Colm Piercy, CEO at Viatel.
