The move will see Geotab’s fleet telematics solution integrated into Telefónica’s existing telematics portfolio in Europe.
Geotab’s technology is designed to help businesses manage and review their on-road productivity, safety and ecological efficiency.
The partnership will initially focus on Spain, Germany and the UK, with plans to expand to Latin American markets in the near future.
“We are seeing tremendous growth for fleet management solutions worldwide and the wireless carriers are now becoming an integral component of the fleet telematics and connected machine ecosystem. We are impressed by the Telefónica M2M team and look forward to working together with Telefónica to deliver the most advanced fleet telematics solution in the market,” commented Neil Cawse, CEO of Geotab.
