The 1,000 square metre facility, which will offer connectivity-related managed services to facilitate interconnects, will be fitted out to Tier III specifications with 2N power redundancy to ensure service availability of up to 99.982%.

The agreement marks Keppel T&T’s first investment into the Hong Kong colocation market. Thomas Pang, CEO of Keppel T&T, added: “The expansion of Keppel’s data centre footprint to Hong Kong is another step towards creating a data centre value ecosystem that goes beyond colocation to providing value-added services and connectivity for our valued clients.”
The international carrier exchange is situated in the same building as the Hong Kong Point of Presence (PoP) for the Asia-Africa-Europe-1 (AAE-1) submarine cable and is also served by PCCW Global’s extensive backhaul network, which will link the international carrier exchange to multiple submarine cable landing stations and serve as a gateway to mainland China.
The collaboration leverages the extensive global network connectivity of HKT-owned PCCW Global and marks the expansion of Keppel T&T’s 190,000 square feet data centre footprint to Hong Kong.
