SMS Protect is a hosted firewall which sits on Orange partner’s network and is being bundled into its A2P messaging hub solution. According to the carrier, it covers multi signalling carrier’s availability; domestic and international traffic; and SS7 and SMPP traffic.
The managed service solution aims to support anti-fraud policies by offering grey-route detection, rules management, reporting, and market analytics for the A2P market, Orange International Carriers said.
It works by analysing all international and national incoming SMS roaming and interworking to protect in real time partner networks against any SMS fraud and by-pass, it added.
Orange said: “SMS Protect is the ultimate solution to protect all type of SMS traffic, provided through a firewall hosted in your network and bound with Orange IC A2P hub.”
Orange International Carriers has dedicated teams on four continents which serve 1,000 mobile operators, international carriers, ISPs and content providers worldwide. It has a seamless backbone network spanning 220 countries and offers 450,000km of fibre cable.
