Nokia and e& team up to drive AI innovation in industrial sectors

Nokia Bell Labs and e& have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on AI-based solutions for strategic industrial sectors.

The year-long agreement will focus on developing responsible AI applications aimed at improving sustainability and accelerating innovation in enterprise and industrial automation.

Thierry E. Klein, president of Bell Labs Solutions Research at Nokia said: “By jointly developing applications and use cases that leverage our expertise in responsible AI, software and data systems, we will accelerate the digital transformation that provides new technologies for a safer, more productive and sustainable future.”

This partnership aims to address key challenges faced by industrial sectors, such as increasing productivity, enhancing safety, and promoting sustainability, through cutting-edge technologies like AI, advanced computing, and network connectivity.

By exploring opportunities with industry partners, universities, and research centres, both companies intend to transform digitalisation in industrial environments.
