The Bulgarian telecoms market is to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.8% in the next five years, with broadband internet and mobile data services most primed for growth, according to Pyramid Research.
Pyramid Research’s Europe Country Intelligence Report on Bulgaria projects that the country's telecoms market value will reach $2.8 billion by 2015 and its broadband services will present a $1.9 billion revenue opportunity between 2010 and 2015. By 2015, the Bulgarian broadband population penetration rate could almost double from 16% to 30%. In addition to broadband growth, the report notes the potential for CAGR to increase in IPTV and VoIP by 46.4% and 38.7% respectively between 2010 and 2015. Data revenue will reach 34% by 2015 because of an increase in fixed and mobile internet penetration.
