Sher was previously CTO with WIOCC. Sher will be responsible for overseeing the 2011 system upgrade which plans to use 40Gbps wavelength technology. He will also be responsible for developing and managing all WIOCC product offerings.
Sher will manage the technical aspects of WIOCC’s relationship with EASSy. He is chairman of the EASSy Technical Working Group and co-chairman of the Procurement Group and the Operations and Maintenance Sub-Committee. Before joining WIOCC in 2009 Sher held senior roles with Reliance Globalcom.
