The company has said it is exploring all options for the future of its enterprise division including discussions with third parties.
In April of this year, reports started to circulate that the French-American company was looking to sell a portion of its business in order to improve the company’s long-term finances by focusing on one sector. It has been reported that the enterprise business alone could be worth well over $1 billion.
Alcatel-Lucent admitted that discussions are still in the early stages: “No decision has been made on the options being explored and there is no certainty that this review will result in any change to the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise business.”
The business held a meeting this week with employee representatives of its enterprise business as part of its ongoing review.
