As a result of the deal, euNetworks will cover Vodafone’s operations in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Berlin and Munich, and the agreement also enables Vodafone to tap into euNetwork’s extends footprint.

Vodafone has shown a clear commitment to rolling out LTE across Europe, particularly in Germany where more than 4 million households have access to high-speed LTE internet by the company, since Germany’s wireless frequency auction in 2010. euNetworks stated “fibre-optic networks are a key component of the underlying infrastructure required to support this new mobile standard. “

According to consultancy firm BuddeComm, the German mobile data market has the largest potential in Europe considering the significant investment made by the country’s four network operators in the space. The research company predicts Vodafone alone will deploy LTE in over 1500 locations in the region by the end of the year.
