The partnership means NetQin will have access to a range of services offered by Pacnet, including IP Transit, co-location, managed services and Ethernet international Private Lease Line service in China. NetQin operates primarily to monitor cyber threats over the internet, which is becoming more prevalent in the market with the increasing proliferation of devices on networks.

NetQin has recently opened a Security Research Centre based in North Carolina, which it says is designed to allow for a faster access to data, and speed up the detection of mobile security threats.

Pacnet has invested heavily in its data infrastructure over the past year. Its advanced data centre facilities include data landing stations which offer direct access to its EAC-C2C subsea cable, one of the largest subsea networks in Asia.
