Henry Tirri has been promoted to chief technology officer of Nokia and its associated organisations, including Nokia Research Center and CIC. His mandate is to drive the current and future technological competitiveness of Nokia.
Tirri is also an adjunct professor of computer science at the University of Helsinki, and an adjunct professor of computational engineering at Helsinki University of Technology.
Tirri joined Nokia in 2004 and was previously head of its research centre. Tirri’s predecessor Richard Green, who was appointed to the role of CTO in 2010, took indefinite leave for personal reasons in June.
