The companies also intend to jointly explore deploying an expanded suite of VPN based-services, as well as telepresence, managed hosting, cloud-based services, network integration services and enterprise mobility solutions.
“Developing this strategic framework agreement will allow customers with operations in China to take advantage of the same type of business transformational services they have in other parts of the globe,” said Roman Pacewicz, senior vice president of marketing and global strategy, AT&T Business Solutions.
The two companies have had a long standing relationship and formed a successful joint venture in 2000 with Shanghai Information Investment, called Shanghai Symphony Telecommunications.
