Karen Witts has been appointed to the board of directors at Vodacom Group. She holds the position of regional CFO of Vodafone for Africa, Middle East, Asia and Asia-Pacific.
Witts joined Vodafone in June 2010 after spending more than ten years at BT Group in various CFO and general management roles and has also been a non executive director on the board of Safaricom since July 2010.
Outside of the telecoms sector, Witts has worked in banking, FMCG, manufacturing and media, and has an MA in French with Business Studies. Her appointment follows the departure of commercial director Morten Lundal.
