Growth is forecast to come from data services over the next few years. Broadband revenue is expected to expand from $22 million in 2011 to $51 million in 2016 with a CAGR of 18.2%. Pay-TV services are forecast to grow at a CAGR of 6.4% reaching over $47 million in revenue in 2016, up from $34 million in 2011.
Mobile voice is expected to rise 2.2% over the forecast period as mobile adoption increases. VoIP will rapidly expand at a CAGR of 56.3% over the forecast period, but will only account for 1% of total revenues in 2016.
Low penetration levels across all services mean that the Nicaraguan market is ripe for investment.
