Telecom New Zealand has appointed Simon Moutter as CEO. He will begin his new role from September 1 2012.
Moutter will replace Paul Reynolds who will remain at Telecom until June 1. Reynolds oversaw the structural separation of the previous Telecom New Zealand, which split its access network into a new company, Chorus.
Moutter is the current CEO of Auckland International Airport and a former COO at Telecom New Zealand. Before this he was CEO at Powerco.
“Simon’s knowledge of the telecoms industry in New Zealand is strong and deep, and he is a proven CEO of a significant listed organisation,” said Mark Verbiest, Telecom New Zealand chairman.
