As a result of the agreement both companies will be able to expand Ethernet services to new markets.
The alliance will allow TM to extend its Layer 2 Ethernet services into Europe and North America, while Inteliquent will be able to leverage TM’s coverage to fulfil growing demand for Ethernet in Malaysia and Asia-Pacific.
“Through this alliance, not only are we able to serve nationally, but we are also embarking our Ethernet presence globally to further offer comprehensive solutions to Inteliquent and its respective clients,” said Rozaimy Abd Rahman, EVP, Global at TM.
Inteliquent has said that by leveraging each other’s networks TM will be able to better meet customer expectation and the alliance will strengthen TM’s vision to become Malaysia’s new generation communications provider.
