John Legere has been appointed by Deutsche Telekom as CEO of T-Mobile USA, effective September 22. He succeeds interim CEO, Jim Alling, who will return to his position as COO.
Legere has 32 years of experience in the US and global telecoms and technology industries.
He was most recently CEO of Global Crossing, before its merger with Level 3, and prior to this held senior positions at: Asia Global Crossing, a Microsoft, Softbank and Global Crossing JV; Dell Computer Corporation; and AT&T.
Legere is a board trustee at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and on the board of the NY runners and NYC Marathon, Achilles International and Shoes4Africa.
