CDNetworks operates infrastructure services in China and other emerging markets, and it is expected to provide Telehouse customers with direct access to the company’s Global Cloud Acceleration services in Moscow and surrounding regions via the company’s PoPs.
It launched its 44th global data centre, Telehouse Moscow, and forms part of its global expansion strategy to increase presence in emerging markets. Telehouse customers in the US, Europe and Asia will be able to leverage cloud computing services as a result of the partnership.
“We recently announced our Russia Acceleration solution, so we are committed to serving businesses and consumers with faster websites and cloud applications,” said Jeff Kim, COO and president at CDNetworks Americas/EMEA.
CDNetworks' cloud programme aims to deliver dynamic website content and cloud applications from around the world to the Russian population. Telehouse claims the service is delivered within a few milliseconds from across the country, faster than any other CDN, and Russian businesses are also expected to benefit from the service.
“With Russia’s IT market predicted to grow by at least 15% in the coming years, and the number of internet users to explode in the next five to 10 years, the timing could not be more perfect for Telehouse’s entrance into Moscow, an up and coming data centre hub,” added Satoshi Adachi, VP of Telehouse America.
