The connection from Zayo is expected to allow Next Connex to support data centre operators and provide onward connectivity to internet hubs across the city.
It is expected that Zayo’s fibre deployment will further support Next Connex’s backbone network, allowing its customers to extend across other locations where the company has presence.
Stephanie Copeland, SVP of Zayo Group, declared the company’s intentions to connect high bandwidth locations to its UK fibre network. “Next Connex will provide a great opportunity to continue to expand our network and offer bandwidth infrastructure solutions to a greater set of customers.”
Next Connex commented on Zayo’s ability to meet challenging lead times, and deliver a competitive pricing model as further reasons for the partnership. “Zayo’s diverse solutions support our objective to meet customer demand and provide long-term scalability and network security,” added Richard Auld, commercial director at Next Connex.
