Jasper Wireless’ cloud-based platform is designed to enable operators to efficiently and inexpensively connect devices across its network.
Mobily is expected to benefit from the ability to manage a range of wireless devices in areas such as automotive telematics and infotainment, consumer electronics, smart metering and building automation.
“Jasper’s cloud-based model will enable us to accelerate time-to-market with new agile services, as well as give us full visibility and intelligent control of how devices are connecting to and using the network,” said Marwan Al Ahmadi, chief business officer at Mobily.
Mobily joins KPN, NTT DoCoMo, América Móvil, Telefónica, VimpelCom, SingTel, Etisalat and Telstra, among others, who also benefit from Jasper Wireless’ platform.
“Mobily is a rapidly growing mobile operator in the MENA region with impressive market share and the opportunity for it to capitalise on industry demand for M2M communications is ripe,” said Cindy Patterson, chief revenue officer at Jasper Wireless.
Optus Business has also reached an agreement with Jasper Wireless to utilise its M2M services across the challenging Australian market.
