SingTel will use the facility to grow its businesses in the US and Asia-Pacific through its ConnectPlus IP VPN network, which is reportedly the largest in the Asia-Pacific region.
Mick Connors, managing director, SingTel USA, believes the position of the PoP was vital to provide a good service to customers.
“The Minneapolis PoP underlines SingTel’s commitment to provide the best support for our customers in the US by positioning our PoPs near their operations," he said. “This proximity enables SingTel to deliver low latency and more competitive services to our customers. We selected Cologix due to its access to potential customers, stable infrastructure and local support to help us better serve the region.”
Cologix serves more than 550 customers and will offer SingTel’s customers and network partners connectivity solutions through its Meet-Me-Room in the 511 Building.
