ON Telecom is a start-up company and claims to leverage LTE spectrum for the delivery of high-quality broadband services to its customers.
It is expected to deploy three services from solutions provider AIRCOM for the initial design of its LTE network.
“Working with AIRCOM, ON Telecom can be confident that it is delivering the best possible quality of service for high bandwidth mobile broadband services to its customers,” said Steve Roberts, operations director at ON Telecom.
ON Telecom will reportedly deploy AIRCOM’s ASSET, MYRIAD and CONNECT tools, which respectively address network design and optimisation, transmission network planning and versatile propagation.
“This is an exciting, green field opportunity for ON and we look forward to supporting its LTE network roll out,” said Alwyn Welch, CEO at AIRCOM International.
“Brazil is enjoying a period of strong growth in mobile broadband connections and we’re working hard to ensure ON delivers a differentiated service quality in what is becoming a fiercely competitive market.”
Earlier this month, Nokia Siemens Networks and TIM Brasil partnered in a similar deal for the deployment of an LTE network in Brazil, ahead of the Confederations Cup in 2013, and the FIFA World Cup in 2014.
