BICS will have access to cVidya’s FraudView service, and step up its presence in the global fight against fraud.
Through the FraudView solution, BICS is looking to address fraud types in the wholesale specific environment, such as false answering supervision (FAS), international revenue share fraud (IRSF) and PBX hacking.
Jorn Vercamert, VP of voice business at BICS, told Capacity Daily he believes fraud is becoming a much bigger problem than it was 10 years ago.
“There are many more ways and methods to fraud, confirmed by a number of publications and studies,” he said.
“It’s a big and major concern for many operators in the world.”
cVidya has been offering fraud solution software to companies through a range of platforms for some time, but Vercamert said that it is the combination of this software, paired with BICS’ industry intelligence that makes the partnership particularly unique.
“We are using a tool in a hosted environment and adding to the intelligence of the visibility BICS has on all traffic streams,” he said.
Under further terms of the agreement, BICS and cVidya will create and build a global fraud knowledge centre designed to both detect and share fraud knowledge between FraudView users worldwide.

providers,” said Alon Aginsky, president and CEO at cVidya.
Vercamert believes that it is the role of the wholesale operator to protect its customers against fraud, and hopes the FraudVIew service to be a comprehensive solution to a problem that is costing carriers billions in revenue every year.
“We believe that BICS is once more showing its commitment to the carriers industry, adding to its product portfolio in its innovative style, helping our operators to manage their businesses better going forward,” Vercamert said.
