Jio Infocomm is expected to utilise up to 45,000 rooftop and ground-based towers across RCOM’s network, in a bid to accelerate the roll-out of 4G services.
Yesterday, Jio Infocomm released a statement detailing the company’s budget over the next few years, and failed to confirm its plans for 4G deployment.
The agreement is also expected to lead to the potential build of more towers in different locations, to ensure penetration in the region and seamless delivery of next generation services.
The deal follows an earlier agreement for inner-city fibre sharing between the two companies.
In April this year, Jio Infocomm partnered with Bharti Airtel for its submarine cable network in the Asia-Pacific.
