Dana Strong has been named as COO of Virgin Media. The company is continuing its management reshuffle following its acquisition by Liberty Global and Strong will take up her position at the beginning of July.
She succeeds Andrew Barron, who is looking to pursue new opportunities once the deal with Liberty Global is finalised, and said she believes the company is entering an exciting phase.
“I look forward to contributing to the growth and development of Virgin Media’s business,” she said. Strong will also become chairman of UPC Ireland and Mike Fries, president and CEO of Liberty Global, praised Strong’s “broad operating background and experience”.
