Zeinal Bava has been named as CEO of Brazilian operator, Oi. Bava leaves his former role as CEO of Portugal Telecom which is a majority shareholder of Oi, with non-executive chairman Henrique Granadiero expected to take over from Bava’s position.
Alongside his responsibilities as Oi’s CEO, Bava will also focus on strategies and innovation for joint projects between Oi and Portugal Telecom. The two companies signed an industrial alliance earlier this year in attempt to better their growth potential.
