Rackspace Hosting has appointed Alan Perkins as director of product and technology for Asia-Pacific.
Perkins has experience in various leadership and consulting roles, including 10 years at software developer Atium in Sydney and Shanghai, seven of which he spent as CIO.
Promoting open cloud innovation to the region’s business community will be a key part of Perkins new role.
“This is an important time for the development of open cloud technology as firms in Asia-Pacific align to truly flexible computing models that will ensure they can perform with maximum agility in both the short and long term,” Perkins said.
