Cisco has welcomed Greg Brown, chairman and CEO at Motorola Solutions, to its board of directors.
After joining Motorola in 2003, Brown was elected to the company’s board of directors in 2007 and in 2008 was appointed CEO of the company. He led the spin-off of the consumer-focussed Motorola Mobility in 2011.
“Greg’s leadership and knowledge within the commun-ications industry is nearly unparalleled,” said John Chambers, chairman and CEO at Cisco. “As more people manage their lives and businesses from mobile platforms, Cisco will benefit from Greg’s deep expertise in global business.” Brown joins 13 other C-level telecoms executives on the Cisco board.
