Geo will provide a dedicated fibre network connecting Virtus’ Enfield data centre to C4L’s London metro networks as well as the London Internet Exchange.
The Enfield data centre is already connected to Geo’s 19km fibre infrastructure, which is routed on an average of 3-10m below ground through London’s sewer network.
C4L serves government bodies, financial institutions and enterprises through its private core infrastructure, providing access to over 100 UK data centres.
“By using Geo’s dedicated fibre infrastructure as a backbone for our intra-data centre connectivity services we aim to maximise uptime and guarantee the highest level of service excellence,” said Simon Mewett, CEO at C4L.
At the end of last year, Geo completed diverse optical ring linking the UK and Ireland.
