As scheduled, the launch comes less than a month after Vodafone rolled out 4G in the country’s capital, Wellington, and it is the first company to bring 4G to the city.
“4G has captured customers’ imaginations,” said Russell Stanners, CEO at Vodafone NZ.
“And with 4G available to over 93% of Palmerston North’s population, there’s even more opportunity for locals and visitors to experience the speed of 4G.”
Vodafone New Zealand is partnering with its long-standing partner Nokia Siemens Networks for the roll-out and is targeting New Plymouth for the next stage.
