Commercial operations are expected to be available by September and Arief Yahya, CEO at Telkom Indonesia said that company had met all of its targets prior to the launch.
“After the launch, we will need roughly one month to conduct stress tests on our operations before we can go completely commercial,” Yahya said.
The company will initially target the Indonesian community in Malaysia, and Yahya said that the average ARPU was notably larger in the country.
“Malaysia is of sizeable potential for us,” Yahya added.
Telkom Indonesia has seemingly placed a greater focus on growth in Asia with the launch following reports earlier this year that the company had secured a networks tender in Myanmar.
Capacity will hold its first conference dedicated to Myanmar's market in Nay Pyi Taw from 10-11 September this year.
